Role Overview: As a Manager - Software Asset Management (SAM) at EY, you will be working in a team environment responsible for managing customers" licenses. Your main role will involve assisting customers in understanding and controlling their software licensing entitlement, while also expanding host company licensing opportunities and building more-profitable, long-term relationships with customers. Key Responsibilities: - Review and analyze VMware licensing agreements and entitlements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and licensing models. - Create and manage VMware compliance reports, license position reports, and track usage to ensure optimal usage and compliance with terms. - Identify opportunities for optimizing VMware licensing for cost savings, better utilization, and compliance with product offerings. - Provide guidance on VMware's licensing programs and advise internal teams on program selection. - Analyze complex VMware licensing scenarios and ensure proper allocation and usage. - Assist in negotiations for new VMware licensing agreements and renewals, ensuring favorable terms and cost-effective solutions. - Offer insights on licensing for VMware's virtualization technologies. - Utilize technical knowledge of VMware cloud middleware products to provide insights to customers. - Perform reconciliation of VMware entitlement reports and prepare license entitlement summaries. - Prepare data request list documents to capture VMware product footprints and track license entitlements. - Develop and implement policies and procedures for VMware products used in customer environments. - Manage task allocation and workload distribution within the team. - Lead project execution, ensure balanced workload distribution, and adhere to quality standards. - Analyze customer entitlements, license contracts, and inventory across multiple publishers. - Create customized reports, compliance documentation, and cost comparison analyses. - Act as a single point of contact for subsidiaries, support utilization tracking, and provide training to team members. Qualifications Required: - 8-10 years of professional experience in the licensing industry with ITAM/SAM management experience. - Understanding of different VMware licensing models and programs. - SAM Accreditation (good to have). - Proficiency in virtualization technologies. - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint. - Experience with asset management software, particularly ServiceNow and SAM, preferred.
