With over 16 years of experience, SAEL possesses strong in-house Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) capabilities across complex solar and AgWTE projects. Looking ahead, the company plans to establish an integrated 5 GW solar cell and 5 GW solar module manufacturing facility in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, based on advanced TOPCon technology, with a projected investment of INR 8,200 crore.

Overview of Position:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient

GM/DGM Electrical System Design

Responsibilities:

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and review of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire detection, building management systems, and other low and high voltage applications.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering deliverables such as SLDs, cable routing, panel layouts, BOQs, load schedules, and protection schemes.
• Ensure designs comply with national and international standards (IS, IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.) and meet statutory and environmental requirements.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including civil, mechanical, instrumentation, procurement, and project execution.
• Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and government bodies to ensure timely approvals and coordination.
• Review and evaluate vendor technical bids and drawings for electrical equipment and systems.
• Drive the integration of energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy systems where applicable.
• Prepare project timelines, cost estimates, and risk assessments related to electrical design.
• Conduct site visits and audits during project execution to ensure design compliance and resolve technical issues.
• Mentor and manage a team of electrical engineers and CAD designers to deliver high-quality outputs.
• Implement best practices in electrical design, safety, and project management methodologies.

Requirements:

1) B.E./B. Tech in Electrical Engineering (mandatory)

2) M.E./M. Tech in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering (preferred)

3) 17 to 22 years of progressive experience in electrical system design, preferably in infrastructure, airports, metro rail, or large industrial projects

4) Strong hands-on experience in detailed engineering, design documentation, and design coordination

5) Proficiency in design and simulation tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, Revit MEP, Dialux, and similar software

6) Sound knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (BIS, IEC, IEEE, CEA, NFPA, etc.)
