Job Description

As the Head of Yard/Technical Services, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing critical operational and technical services at the shipyard to support shipbuilding, repair, and heavy engineering projects. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will lead department heads in various functions to ensure alignment with the shipyard's strategic goals. Your role will involve developing and implementing strategies for operational and technical services that align with the shipyard's objectives. You will oversee key functions and departments such as Plant Maintenance, Civil Infrastructure, Safety & Environment, Quality Assurance & Control, Information Technology, and Industrial Engineering & Process Improvement to drive operational excellence and project efficiency. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Strategic Leadership & Functional Alignment:** - Develop and implement strategies aligning with the shipyard's objectives. - Ensure departments contribute to operational efficiency and project success. - **Oversee Key Functions & Departments:** - *Plant Maintenance*: Ensure machinery, equipment, and facilities" availability and reliability. - *Civil Infrastructure*: Oversee upkeep, repair, and expansion of infrastructure. - *Safety & Environment*: Drive safety culture and environmental compliance. - *Quality Assurance & Control*: Ensure adherence to quality standards. - *Information Technology*: Oversee IT infrastructure and digital initiatives. - *Industrial Engineering & Process Improvement*: Lead process optimization initiatives. - **Drive Operational Efficiency:** - Monitor performance and identify areas for improvement. - Ensure coordination between operational and technical functions. - Develop best practices to optimize resource utilization. - **Ensure Compliance & Risk Mitigation:** - Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Identify and mitigate potential risks in infrastructure and processes. - Regularly audit safety, environmental, and quality processes. - **Foster Continuous Improvement:** - Drive improvement initiatives and encourage innovation. - Collaborate with department heads to set measurable goals. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. - Master's degree or MBA is highly advantageous. - Certifications in Safety Management, Quality Management, or Process Improvement are preferred. This role is pivotal in ensuring the shipyard's infrastructure, technical systems, and operational services are reliable, efficient, and aligned with industry standards. Your contributions will be crucial to operational excellence, project efficiency, and the successful delivery of shipbuilding, repair, and heavy engineering projects.,
