Global Network Engineer L2

As a Global Network Engineer L2, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, and resolving 2nd level Technical Support problems related to Internet, Firewalls, LANs, WLANs, WANs, and other Network components. You will respond to 2nd line Service calls, Incidents, and Service Tickets for technical support, tracking and monitoring problems in our Service Management Tool (ServiceNow) to ensure timely resolutions managed through an automated system. Your tasks will include system operations, maintenance, and documentation in accordance with compliance requirements, quality assurance, and development of standards. Additionally, you will support and implement failure and disaster recovery tests, ensuring system integrity and security through measures such as log analysis and patch management. Monitoring the WAN, WLAN, and LAN environment and proactively reacting to any issues will be a crucial part of your role. You will be responsible for raising TAC Cases, following up on Service Provider Requests and Incidents, working as an infrastructure network specialist on new migration projects, and providing on-site support as needed for critical installations. Showing flexibility and availability to support business outages, collaborating within local and other regional teams, maintaining high standards of business ethics and behavior during technical negotiations with multiple teams, vendors, and partners, and driving results in coordination with DBS teams and vendors are essential aspects of this role. To qualify for this position, you should have a University degree in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience. Typically, you should have 5-8 years of relevant IT experience in Network technology related IT Infrastructure services. Experience in supporting and managing Cisco LAN/WLAN Networks (Meraki), good knowledge of network Security and Firewalls like Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco FTDs, SD WAN products like Fortinet, Cisco, knowledge of APIs and Scripting (e.g., Python), experience in WAN Optimization, Cloud-based Services (e.g., Zscaler, Cisco Meraki), Infrastructure Monitoring (e.g., Solarwinds) are meritorious skills. Certification in Cisco CCNA and CCNP would be preferred. Experience in ITSM, knowledge of service management processes (ITIL), high level of flexibility, troubleshooting, and incident resolution skills, as well as fluency in the English language, are also required for this role.,
