Job Description

As a Smart Factory Architect Connectivity Engineer at our company, your role will involve leading the data modeling to ensure seamless data flow enabling real-time visualization, simulation, and optimization of manufacturing processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and deploy batch real-time data pipelines - Design secure, scalable serverless data platforms for structured and unstructured data - Develop Infrastructure-as-Code - Manage GCP environments, IAM policies, VPC networking, cost controls, and hybrid connectivity - Build AI/ML workflows - Integrate semantic search frameworks with vector databases - Implement RAG pipelines to enhance LLM outputs - Lead enterprise initiatives and collaborate with stakeholders across various departments - Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices in data governance, observability, and AI infrastructure - Connect, configure, and manage data collection from factory monitoring systems - Deploy and manage edge devices or industrial gateways for real-time data acquisition and preprocessing - Work with IT teams to integrate shop floor data - Design and implement secure communication between operational technology (OT) and IT infrastructure - Enable real-time data feeds to digital twin platforms - Develop and maintain data pipelines for high-frequency streaming data - Implement and enforce cybersecurity protocols for data exchange - Analyze system performance and recommend connectivity or architecture improvements - Contribute to the broader digital transformation roadmap for the manufacturing enterprise **Qualifications:** - Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field - 3+ years in industrial automation, controls, or manufacturing IT/OT systems integration - Experience with industrial protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, Profibus, etc.) - Familiarity with SCADA, MES, and IIoT platforms - Proficiency in data integration tools and scripting languages - Understanding of cloud platforms and digital twin technologies - Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills **Preferred:** - Experience with edge computing solutions - Knowledge of cybersecurity in industrial environments - Exposure to Industry 4.0 frameworks and smart manufacturing systems In this role, you will be required to travel 25% of the time.
