Job Description

You are a highly experienced GeoSpatial Developer with 15 to 17 years of experience in Java and API development. In this role, you will work in a hybrid model during day shifts without the need for travel. Your primary responsibility will involve developing and maintaining geospatial applications that support the company's mission to provide innovative solutions to clients. Your tasks will include designing and implementing APIs to integrate geospatial data with other systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, and utilizing your technical expertise in geospatial data processing and analysis. You will ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, and conduct code reviews to maintain best practices and coding standards. It will be essential for you to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in geospatial development, mentor junior developers, and create technical documentation for the developed applications. Additionally, you will optimize application performance and scalability, participate in agile development processes, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development methodologies. To qualify for this role, you should have extensive experience in Java programming and API development, along with a strong understanding of geospatial data processing and analysis techniques. Proficiency in using geospatial tools and libraries like GDAL, GeoTools, or similar is required, as well as experience with relational and non-relational databases and cloud platforms for geospatial applications. Your problem-solving and analytical skills, communication and collaboration abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team will be crucial. Knowledge of agile development methodologies, version control systems such as Git, and the software development lifecycle is expected. The role also requires certifications as a Certified Java Developer and a Certified Geospatial Information Systems Professional.
