General Technician - Service

A general technician in a car dealership focuses on servicing and repairing vehicles, including routine maintenance, diagnosing issues, and performing repairs. They work with various systems like engines, transmissions, electrical, steering, suspension, and braking, often using diagnostic tools and following manufacturer specifications. Key Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Performing tasks like oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks.
• Diagnosing Problems: Identifying issues with vehicles using diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge.
• Repairing Vehicles: Fixing or replacing worn or damaged parts, including engine components, brakes, and other systems.
• Following Procedures: Adhering to manufacturer guidelines and dealership standards for repairs and maintenance.
• Communication: Explaining vehicle problems and repairs to customers and service advisors.
• Documentation: Completing necessary paperwork and documentation for repairs and maintenance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures.
• Diagnostic Skills: Ability to use diagnostic tools to identify vehicle issues.
• Repair Skills: Proficiency in performing various mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain technical information to customers and colleagues.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
