Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the company's national and international sales strategy for transformers and Compact Sub-Stations.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned with company growth objectives, particularly in the

    renewable energy segment

    .
  • Plan and manage annual sales budgets, revenue targets, and profitability.

Business Development:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients:

    DISCOMs, SEBs, PSUs, industrial houses, EPC contractors, and renewable energy developers

    .
  • Lead bidding and business development efforts on platforms such as GeM, e-Tendering portals, and direct negotiations.
  • Expand market share in

    solar parks, wind projects, hybrid systems

    , and BESS-integrated infrastructure.

Sales Operations:

  • Lead and mentor the nationwide sales team and regional business managers.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Engineering, Commercial, Design) for timely and quality execution of transformer orders.
  • Drive customer visits, key account management, and timely payment realization.\

Marketing & Branding:

  • Spearhead branding, marketing communications, and digital campaigns.
  • Represent the company in trade expos, IEEMA forums, and

    renewable energy events

    (REI, Intersolar, etc.).
  • Maintain a strong sales funnel with structured CRM tracking and client engagement metrics.

Key Requirements:

  • Education:

    B.E./B.Tech (Electrical/Mechanical) with an MBA in Marketing (preferred).
  • Experience:

    Minimum 10-15 years in Sales & Marketing of Transformers / Power Equipment, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.
  • Industry Exposure:

    Must have direct experience with

    utilities, EPCs, industrial clients, and renewable energy players

    (solar/wind IPPs, developers, OEMs).
  • Knowledge Areas:

    Tendering for solar/wind power projects, BIS/IS/IEC transformer standards, energy storage integration, and regulatory frameworks.

Skills:

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial negotiations, techno-commercial sales, and project lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like Zoho, MS Office, and digital marketing platforms.
