Job Description

Location : Dahej

Key Responsibilities:

Operations and Engineering Leadership:

1. Oversee both operational and engineering functions within the chemical complex.

2. Ensure continuous, cost-effective process operations, while maintaining production schedules and minimizing disruptions.

3. Leverage sound knowledge of chemical process technologies & manufacturing practices.

Strategic Planning and Project Implementation:

1. Develop and execute strategic plans that optimize production efficiency and align with organizational goals.

2. Managing raw materials, coal, power, infrastructure, logistics, marketing, dealer networks, etc. in co-ordination with other departments

3. Lead and manage Project implementation, ensuring timely and within-budget execution. II) Resource and Team Management: 1. Sustain production by optimizing use of manpower, materials, and other resources. 2. Lead and build multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring effective exercise of administrative authority and responsibilities. 3. Manage operation and maintenance contracts when required.

III) Safety, Security and Environmental Oversight:

1. Ensure safety, security and environmental compliance at the facility. 2. Maintain effective relations with local communities and other stakeholders.

IV) Administration and Liaison:

1. Prepare and present management reports; coordinate closely with internal departments Finance, Purchase, Marketing etc. and with external agencies.

2. Exercise maturity, discretion, integrity, tact and high judgment in decision-making and stakeholder interactions.

Key Skills :

1. Must have post qualification experience of minimum around 26 years in various areas of Caustic Chlorine plant operations, Project implementation along with other areas such as Material Management, Marketing and strategic planning in Caustic soda industry and preferably, captive power plant.

2. Should have demonstrated successful leadership with minimum of five years of experience as a Plant Head or a leadership position equivalent to a senior level position in a large sized manufacturing unit preferably having experience of reporting to the Managing Director and Board of Directors

3. Relaxation in number of years of experience for a qualified person may be considered.

4. Preference would be given to young professional of age not exceeding 55 years of age.
