General Manager - Heat Treatment (Steel)

As a Heat Treatment Engineer at the largest manufacturer of Bulk Conveying Chains and Accessories in Raipur, you will play a pivotal role in the Heat Treatment department. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Monitoring various heat treatment processes such as carburizing, Volume Hardening, tempering, normalizing, Annealing, induction hardening, and quenching. - Maintaining process and output parameters like temperature, cycle time, bath concentration, hardness, strength, and microstructure. - Guiding operators and Technicians to ensure completion of assigned tasks. - Keeping records related to production, rejection, material movement, and manpower productivity for the shifts. - Demonstrating familiarity with different types of furnaces, process nuances, and basic knowledge of metallurgical properties of materials. - Ensuring adherence to safety and housekeeping norms of the Heat Treatment Department. - Planning and executing schedules as per requirements, conducting preventive maintenance of equipment, and handling loading & unloading of material in a furnace. - Utilizing knowledge of Excel, Scada, and Data Logger. - Following safety and cleanliness parameters. Additionally, you must have 10-12 years of experience in Heat Treatment of Steel and possess a Diploma/BE in Metallurgical Engineering. Familiarity with various methods used in the inspection of finished goods is required. Other duties as assigned by management must also be performed.
