As a General Manager Fleet Maintenance, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance function for a commercial vehicle fleet, ensuring fleet uptime performance and coordinating with workshops to minimize downtime. Your role will involve overseeing a team, managing AMC compliance, building OEM relations, and optimizing maintenance costs. - End-to-end responsibility for fleet maintenance of 6-wheeler, 10-wheeler, and 14-wheeler trailer trucks - Managing AMC compliance, claims, and service efficiency with Tata Motors and other OEMs - Coordinating with workshops to ensure fast turnaround of vehicles - Building internal systems for tracking breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and cost optimization - Mentoring on-ground technicians and the existing maintenance team - Reviewing vehicle health reports regularly to reduce repeat failure incidents - Aligning maintenance schedules with fleet operations to minimize disruption - Reporting directly to Business Head & supporting leadership on cost & efficiency improvements Qualifications Required: - 10-15 years of experience in commercial vehicle maintenance, preferably at the fleet level - Strong understanding of AMC models, warranty claims, and service escalation - Prior experience with Tata Motors/Ashok Leyland service processes is a plus - Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor follow-up skills - Must be based in or willing to relocate to Guwahati In addition to the job responsibilities and qualifications, as a General Manager Fleet Maintenance, you will have the opportunity to work in one of Northeast India's fastest-growing logistics groups.
