General Assistant

The main purpose of this job is to ensure the smooth operation of the business unit by handling General Assistant functions within the guidelines of company policies and procedures. As a General Assistant, you will be responsible for various tasks based on the operational needs of the business unit. This will require you to be versatile and capable of working in different areas within the business unit. Your responsibilities will include accurately preparing orders for customers and drivers and assisting with the loading and offloading of vehicles. You will be expected to provide efficient support to customers and suppliers during these processes, ensuring that yard stock items are well-organized and easily accessible. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness and safety standards when loading vehicles is crucial. Furthermore, you will be required to assist customers and suppliers with workshop/joinery-related tasks promptly and effectively. Completing Wash Bay activities accurately and ensuring that store shelves and stock items are neatly arranged and easily accessible for customers are also part of your duties. It is essential to uphold and embody the company values and culture at all times. To be successful in this role, you should have a Grade 12 qualification and possess product knowledge relevant to the industry. Your ability to adapt to various tasks and work efficiently in a dynamic environment will be key to thriving in this position.,
