Job Description

Introduction

As a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients’ data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Work with Best in Class open source and visual tools, along with the most flexible and scalable deployment options. Whether it’s investigating patient trends or weather patterns, you will work to solve real world problems for the industries transforming how we live.

Your Role And Responsibilities

Candidate with strong foundation in programming and mathematics, with enthusiasm for learning and applying the latest AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing, fine-tuning, and deploying generative AI models including large language models (LLMs), computer vision models, and multimodal system
Support the implementation of prompt engineering techniques and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems
Perform model evaluation, testing, and performance optimisation

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Proficiency in Python programming with experience in relevant libraries (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
Understanding of machine learning fundamentals and statistical concepts
Basic knowledge of deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar)
Experience with generative AI models (GPT, BERT, diffusion models, etc
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and their AI services
Experience with Jupyter notebooks, Docker, and containerization
Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) or computer vision
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related technical field
