We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based solutions using GCP technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with business requirements and technical objectives, ensuring the delivery of high-performance, cost-effective, and future-proof solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architecting Cloud Solutions:
- Design and implement end-to-end Google Cloud solutions, including but not limited to data migration, cloud-native applications, containerization, AI/ML integration, and multi-cloud architectures.
- Develop and recommend cloud strategies based on customer needs, including hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Create high-level solution designs and technical documentation for cloud deployments.
- Client Collaboration & Consultation:
- Work closely with clients to understand their business needs and translate them into scalable and effective cloud-based architectures.
- Conduct cloud readiness assessments, strategy workshops, and technical evaluations to provide recommendations for cloud adoption.
- Guide clients through the cloud adoption journey, including planning, execution, and ongoing management of GCP environments.
- Implementation & Migration:
- Lead or participate in the migration of on-premises infrastructure to Google Cloud, ensuring minimal disruption and effective change management.
- Oversee the technical deployment of cloud solutions, ensuring best practices for security, scalability, and cost-efficiency are followed.
- Security & Compliance:
- Ensure that GCP solutions adhere to security best practices, regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and industry standards.
- Implement identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and other security measures for cloud environments.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with the latest GCP features, updates, and industry trends.
- Provide internal and client teams with guidance on how to leverage new features and tools in GCP to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work with internal development, operations, and business teams to integrate cloud solutions into the overall architecture.
- Provide mentoring and knowledge sharing to junior team members on GCP best practices.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Cloud Architect, Solution Architect, or a similar role focused on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions across various GCP services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, etc.).
- Expertise in cloud architecture patterns (serverless, microservices, containerization, etc.).
- Certifications:
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification (required).
- Additional GCP certifications such as Professional Data Engineer, Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or Associate Cloud Engineer (preferred).
- Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, networking, databases, and security protocols.
- Expertise in cloud-native application development, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager).
- Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Shell scripting.
- Tools & Technologies:
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Console, GCP SDK, and other GCP tools.
- Familiarity with APIs, RESTful services, and cloud databases (BigQuery, Firestore, Cloud SQL).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-solving attitude with a focus on delivering business value.
- Experience leading or mentoring teams in cloud-related projects.
