GCP Cloud Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Provide Technical Support: Serve as the first point of contact for customers or internal users needing

assistance with GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, networking, and more.

• Incident Management: Monitor, log, and troubleshoot incidents reported through service tickets,

ensuring timely resolution or proper escalation.

• Basic Troubleshooting: Use the GCP Console, logs, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve basic

cloud infrastructure and service-related issues.

• System Monitoring: Monitor the health of GCP services, ensuring systems are performing optimally.

Assist in resolving minor performance issues, errors, and service interruptions.

• Configuration Assistance: Assist in configuring GCP services and resources based on predefined

templates and best practices.

• Support GCP Security: Ensure that security policies and procedures are followed, helping to identify

potential security incidents related to cloud infrastructure.

• Escalation to Higher Levels: When necessary, escalate issues to senior team members or GCP

engineers for more complex or unresolved issues.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, solutions, and escalations in ticketing systems.
• User Training: Assist users with understanding and using basic GCP features, offering training and

guidance as needed.
