Description
The primary responsibility of this role is to design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient Landing Zones on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will be tasked with defining and enforcing Cloud Governance frameworks, including Identity and Access Management (IAM), policies, Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) design, and logging/monitoring. Additionally, you will play a key role in architecting and driving Greenfield, Brownfield, and Bluefield GCP transformation/migration projects. Collaboration with enterprise architecture and security teams to define network topology, service exposure, and compliance needs will be essential. You will also be responsible for designing cloud-native applications and modernization strategies using various GCP services. Furthermore, the role involves developing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or GCP Deployment Manager. As a subject matter expert (SME) in GCP, you will guide development, DevOps, and security teams on best practices related to Google Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a strong background in Google Cloud Platform architecture and services, with hands-on experience in building and managing Landing Zones. A deep understanding of Governance, Security, IAM, Networking, and Billing structure within GCP is crucial. Experience in working with Greenfield, Brownfield, and Bluefield environments, proficiency in Terraform, GCP Deployment Manager or similar IaC tools, and familiarity with service exposures are all required skills. Effective communication and documentation abilities are also highly valued. Preferred qualifications for this role include GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification, experience in cloud migration or hybrid cloud setups, and working knowledge of DevOps and automation tools.
