Gcp Architect

• Provide solution architecture support to projects where required ensuring that solution defined meets business needs, is aligned to functional and target architecture with any deviations approved.
• Ensure that any new technology products are taken through the technology design governance process.
• Mentor and coach less experienced members of staff and promotes an understanding of the value of architecture and of use of technologies and standards in their domain across IT.
• Informing and influencing technical decisions made at design authorities.
• Perform architecture impact assessments for the application to help size and shape ideas and initiatives.
• Understanding the business, operational and technical context of the specific platform ecosystem
• Demonstrate thought leadership on specific topics and promote knowledge sharing across the architecture community.
• Collaborate with other architects to ensure overall integrity of roadmaps.
• Understand industry best practice and engage with strategic partners to align capabilities and influence product roadmap.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions Functional Instruction Manual (FIMs), Group Standard Manual (GSMs), circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the groups standards of ethical behaviour.

Requirements

• Have prior experience on Architect role for at least 4 years.
• Good understanding of Solution architecture patterns.
• Experience on building end to end Cloud Architecture on GCP.
• Have good understanding of GCP components – Dataflow, BigQuery, PubSub, IAM, VPC, GCE, GKE.
• Experience on SRE, Logging and Monitoring would have additional advantage.
• Extensive knowledge on building and designing Rest API, API Gateway, API Standards.
• Extensive knowledge on Micro-services, Web services, Apache beam and Integration styles.
• Hands-on experience on Spring, Spring Boot and Spring Batch.
• Good understanding of various Databases SQL/NoSQL/Graph.
• Good understand of devops concepts  along with relevant tools like Terraform, Jenkins.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills with good command of written and spoken English
• Very good analysis and trouble shooting skills.
• Preferably with a background on banking domain
