Job Description

As a Technical Project Lead - Tools & Fixtures development at Siemens Energy India Limited, you will play a crucial role in the Gas Turbine R&D department in Gurgaon. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting and skidding for lifting and transporting components and entire turbines - Designing assembly tools for new builds - Developing maintenance tools for inspections and major overhauls You will collaborate with various stakeholders such as product engineering, project managers, and tool centers to manage work scope, align priorities, agree on schedules and budgets. Additionally, you will work closely with procurement, suppliers, manufacturing, logistics, and field service teams to ensure tool functionality meets international standards, regulations, safety, and user requirements. Your key responsibilities will involve: - Providing professional leadership for a LGT Product Engineering Line Tool Design Team - Overseeing the selection, training, and development of engineers - Ensuring projects are executed according to Product Development Process and stakeholders" priorities - Guaranteeing compliance with product safety regulations and international standards - Cooperating with customers, partners, and suppliers to identify and resolve issues To excel in this role, you should possess: - An engineering degree in mechanical engineering with over 12 years of experience in heavy-duty product industry - Proficiency in Handling, Transportation, Lifting, HSE standards, and tool operational safety - Knowledge of regulations and standards for lifting devices according to EU Machinery Directive, UK Guidance Supply of Machinery Regulations, and US ASME Below the Hook - Experience with modeling tools like NX or Creo - Skills in risk evaluation using methodologies such as HAZOP and FMEA - Long-term experience in collaborating with international teams - Excellent interpersonal skills with fluency in English and German - Willingness to travel to the US and obtain a work permit Siemens Energy offers a challenging and future-oriented environment where you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that shape the future of energy systems.
