Job Description

As a Gas Turbine: Technical Project Lead - Tools & Fixtures Development at Siemens Energy India Limited, you will play a crucial role in the Large Gas Turbine engineering department. Your responsibilities will include: - Supporting and skids for the lifting and transport of components as well as entire turbines - Developing assembly tools for new build - Creating maintenance tools (disassembly, reassembly) for inspections and major overhauls You will be responsible for managing a focused team within the network across engineering disciplines, mechanical design, product definition, mechanical integrity, and technical documentation. Your typical day will involve status checks, progress monitoring, resource planning, stakeholder alignment, and ensuring product safety and functionality improvements. Qualifications required for this role include: - An engineering degree in mechanical engineering with over 12 years of experience in the heavy-duty product industry - Proficiency in Handling, Transportation, and Lifting, knowledge of HSE standards, tool operational safety, TPPL inspection, and tool maintenance - Familiarity with regulations and standards for lifting devices according to EU Machinery Directive, UK Guidance Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations, US ASME Below the Hook - Skills in risk evaluation using methodologies such as HAZOP and FMEA - Experience in delivering design solutions ensuring design-for-procurement-manufacturing-assembly (DFMA) - Strong interpersonal skills and fluency in English (and German) for effective communication This role offers the opportunity to provide professional, strategic, and operational leadership for a LGT Product Engineering Line Tool Design Team. You will work closely with customers, internal and external partners, and suppliers to identify and eliminate issues and bottlenecks.
