As a skilled Garment Technician, your primary responsibility will be to transform AI-generated clothing designs into detailed garment specifications ready for production. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that each piece meets the highest standards of fit, quality, and style. Your key duties will include interpreting fashion designs generated by AI into comprehensive tech packs that include precise measurements and construction instructions. You will be tasked with creating specification sheets that detail aspects such as sizing, fabric selection, seam construction, trims, and finishing techniques. Collaboration with pattern makers, production teams, and designers will be essential to ensure the practicality and feasibility of the designs. Quality control will be a key aspect of your role, involving the establishment of checkpoints throughout the sampling and production processes. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections during pre-production and post-production stages to assess measurements, workmanship, and finishing. Additionally, you will oversee the approval of fabrics and trims, maintaining strict quality standards. Your experience of at least 5 years in garment tech or production development within the fashion industry will be invaluable. Proficiency in fit, finishing, and fabric properties is crucial, especially in the realm of Western wear and made-to-measure garments. Your ability to create detailed spec packs, conduct sample reviews, and assess garment construction will be put to the test.
