Job Summary

The Studio Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day operations of the Pepperfry Studio, driving sales performance, providing exceptional customer experience, and ensuring high standards of visual merchandising. This role involves managing a team, coordinating with vendors and central teams, and representing the Pepperfry brand through strong product knowledge and consultative selling.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales & Business Development

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for furniture and home decor categories.
  • Drive footfall and conversions through effective customer engagement.
  • Conduct client consultations, understand requirements, and provide personalized product recommendations.
  • Manage lead follow-up, coordinate with online teams, and ensure closures.
  1. Customer Experience

  • Ensure a premium, seamless in-store experience for all walk-in customers.
  • Address customer queries, handle escalations, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Pepperfry's catalog, materials, design trends, warranties, and services.
  1. Studio Operations

  • Oversee daily studio activities including staff scheduling, store opening/closing, and security protocols.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and coordinate replenishment of catalogues, samples, and display items.
  • Ensure the studio is well-maintained, clean, and aligned with company standards.
  1. Visual Merchandising

  • Maintain brand-approved display layouts and update studio displays as per seasonal or campaign changes.
  • Ensure products and decor elements meet Pepperfry's aesthetic and quality guidelines.

 

  1. Team Management

  • Lead, train, and motivate Sales Executives/Studio Associates.
  • Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and ensure adherence to SOPs.
  • Maintain a positive, performance-oriented work environment.
  1. Coordination & Reporting

  • Coordinate with central teams including Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising.
  • Prepare daily/weekly sales reports, customer insights, and operational metrics.
  • Support local marketing initiatives, events, and partnerships to increase studio visibility.

  • Knowledge of furniture, interiors, or home decor (preferred)

  • Proficiency in CRM and basic MS Office tools
  • Ability to multitask and manage store operations

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Interior Design, Retail Management, or related field
  • 36 years of experience in retail management, preferably in furniture, lifestyle, or premium retail sectors
  • Experience in handling sales targets and team supervision

Work Environment

  • Retail studio setup
  • Weekends and holiday availability required (weekly offs on weekdays)
  • Direct interaction with customers and design consultants
