Job Description

As a Fund Accounting - Subject Matter Expert at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of fund valuation data for various downstream processes. Your responsibilities will include: - Possessing deep understanding and expertise in cash, securities, and unit reconciliation processes. - Independently investigating and resolving complex discrepancies, including unmatched cash and stock differences between internal records and custodian statements. - Proactively identifying and analyzing reconciliation breaks, determining root causes, and implementing effective solutions. - Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of corporate actions, SWIFT messages, custody statement formats, and their impact on reconciliation. - Performing manual reconciliations when necessary, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the underlying principles. You will also be responsible for leveraging analytical skills to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks within reconciliation data, as well as developing and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within the reconciliation function. Additionally, you will collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in Fund Accounting Operations, with a strong focus on reconciliation processes. - Proven track record of independently investigating and resolving complex reconciliation breaks. - Experience working with various financial instruments, including equities, fixed income, and derivatives. - Alladin experience is preferred. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reconciliation tools. - Familiarity with industry-standard reconciliation systems and applications. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and their application to investment operations. Your personal attributes should include excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Desirable qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, and relevant industry certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA). The role also requires the flexibility to work on different shifts.,
