Fullstack Developer

We have a great small team and we are needing to fill one position at our startup. We are hiring for a temporary role (3-6 months) that could turn full time depending on the performance of the individual and the success of the product. (Our goal is to turn this into a full time permanent role). We need someone experienced, self-motivated, and self-driven; who is able to figure things out on their own as we are a small team. We don't have a lot of bandwidth to train individuals, hence why we need someone who can deliver on tasks and figure things out themselves.

This job has a lot of perks and flexibility! As long as you are communicating and delivering results, it is very flexible.

Candidate profile we are seeking:

• 2+ years experience with JavaScript/TypeScript in backend/frontend environments.
• Solid knowledge of Web Frameworks, or at least strong Node.js experience with willingness to learn Deno.
• Experience with Fresh framework or other SSR-based frontend tools.
• Comfortable working with MongoDB/Redis (NoSQL).
• Familiarity with email services/integrations (e.g., AWS SES, Gmail/Outlook API).
• Experience with authentication/SSO flows and secure user management.
• Good communication skills and version control practices (Git with commit-based tracking).
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality and structured codebases.
• Ability to train and fine-tune AI models.
• Understands and can communicate in English

Role & responsibilities

Work on the backend and frontend using Web Framework stack.

Implement features including:

• HTML/XML parsing
• AWS SES and Gmail/Outlook integration
• Backend APIs for browser/Outlook plugins
• Help set up secure onboarding/authentication systems (SSO, session validation).
• Design and implement scalable APIs.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designer and core engineering team to bring interfaces to life.
• Build integrations for Gmail (Google Workspace), Outlook, and SES with secure, modular code.
• Ensure clean project architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and traceable commits.
• Participate in weekly check-ins and issue resolution.
• Able to work solo and with a team. This is a work from home job, we need someone who is responsible and can deliver.

About the job:

• The candidate will report to our lead developer; they will review work and ensure items are being followed.
• Shift timing can be flexible, but should be consistent.
• Work from home.
• We pay twice a month. Once on the 15th and once on the first. We are open to contractors or can even support an employee.
• As long as the candidate is delivering on tasks, it will be a very laid back job! Great small team.
