Description
As an FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) Engineer Designing & Planning, your role involves designing, planning, and implementing fiber optic network infrastructure to provide broadband services to end-users. Your responsibilities include: - Preparing FTTH network designs such as FTTx, GPON, and GIS-based layouts. - Creating fiber route plans, duct layouts, and conducting feasibility studies. - Utilizing GIS/AutoCAD/Google Earth for mapping and network planning purposes. - Compiling BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and BOM (Bill of Materials) for project execution. - Collaborating with survey teams to validate site data. - Optimizing fiber usage, split ratios, and determining OLT/ONT placements. - Offering technical guidance to field teams during implementation. - Ensuring adherence to telecom, quality, and safety standards. - Documenting and reporting design plans for client approvals. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills: - Strong understanding of FTTH/GPON architecture. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS tools, MS Excel, and Google Earth. - Knowledge of fiber splicing, ODF, OLT, ONT, splitters, ducts, and manholes. - Planning and analytical skills for route optimization. - Familiarity with ROW (Right of Way) procedures and telecom regulations. - Effective communication and coordination with survey/execution teams. Qualifications required for this position include: - Diploma/B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Telecom, or Civil Engineering. - Minimum of 15 years of experience in FTTH design, planning, or telecom projects.
