Job Description

As a senior frontend engineer at Simplotel, you will play a key role in shaping our global SaaS product. You ll work directly with customers, translate requirements into product features, and deliver high-quality, scalable web applications. Examples of core functionality include booking/search engines, template engines, rules engines, scaling on distributed setups for high availability, user management, and more.

Role and Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, sustainable front-end applications primarily using the Next.js, EmberJS, and modern JavaScript.
Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver impactful features.
Implement new functionality and proactively optimise existing code for performance and scalability.
Debug, fix issues, and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
Work on UI implementations using Jinja2 and Django templates.
Manage and optimize CMS-driven content, ensuring seamless integrations.
Leverage AWS CloudFront and CDN technologies to deliver fast, secure, and scalable front-end experiences.

Required Skills:

4 5 years of proven experience in frontend development (JavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS).
Strong expertise in building interactive, responsive, and performant web applications.
Hands-on experience with frameworks/libraries such as EmberJS, React, or AngularJS.
Experience integrating with RESTful JSON APIs.
Solid understanding of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and debugging tools.
Experience with CDN integration (AWS CloudFront preferred) for optimised delivery.
Strong knowledge of CMS-based front-end integrations.
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and drive continuous improvements.

Desired Skills:

Experience with Jinja2, Django, or similar templating engines.
Familiarity with Bootstrap and preprocessors like LESS/SASS.
Exposure to scalable web architecture, caching, and distributed systems.
