Front Office Executive - Billing

Role & responsibilities

• Bill Generation

  : Prepare and generate accurate bills for patients admitted in the hospital, based on the services provided during their stay.

• Charge Entry

  : Input charges into the billing system for all services rendered, including room charges, diagnostic tests, medicines, and procedures.

• Reconciliation

  : Reconcile charges, payments, and adjustments between the hospitals billing system and insurance companies.

• Documentation

  : Maintain accurate records of all billing-related documents, including invoices, payment receipts, and patient details.

• Patient Interaction

  : Communicate with patients or their families regarding billing inquiries, payments, and outstanding balances.

• Payment Follow-up

  : Follow up on pending payments and resolve billing discrepancies or payment delays.

• Compliance

  : Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, insurance guidelines, and hospital billing policies.

• Reports

  : Generate periodic reports on outstanding bills, revenue collection, and insurance claims for management.

• Dispute Resolution

  : Resolve billing disputes or discrepancies raised by patients, insurance companies, or hospital management.

• Cash Management

  : Handle patient payments, including cash, credit, or debit transactions, and provide receipts and timely submission of payments to Accounts Department.

• System Updates

  : Regularly update and maintain the billing system with the latest charges, policies, and procedures.
• Responsible for coordination with various stakeholders of the hospital for smooth admission & discharge of the patients from the hospital.
