Front End Engineer

As a Frontend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in implementing the core user interface of our legal search web app based on designs provided via Figma. Your primary responsibility will include working closely with the full-stack engineer to consume APIs for login, subscription, user data, and search results, and bringing them to life with clean and performant React + Next.js code. Your key responsibilities will revolve around Frontend UI Development, where you will translate UI designs from Figma into responsive and performant React + Next.js code. You will be tasked with building core application screens such as search interfaces, result views, dashboards, and usage metrics while maintaining consistent styling and layout across pages using reusable components and modular CSS/Tailwind. Additionally, you will be involved in Integration & API Consumption, working closely with the full-stack engineer to integrate platform APIs for user login, subscription status, and telemetry. Your role will also encompass implementing state management and routing across the application to ensure smooth transitions and error handling, along with ensuring proper loading states, edge case handling, and mobile responsiveness. Furthermore, you will be responsible for Performance & Accessibility, where you will need to ensure high performance of application pages with fast loading times and minimal blocking. This will involve implementing monitoring, logging, and performance tuning practices, following standard coding practices with appropriate error handling, and adhering to best practices for accessibility (a11y) and responsive UI. Continuous optimization of Lighthouse scores, user experience, and front-end security will also be a part of your responsibilities. In terms of the Tech Stack & Tools, you will be utilizing React and Next.js for frontend development, Figma for design handoff, CSS Modules and Tailwind CSS for styling, and Git, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines for build tools. State management will involve the use of React Context and Redux as needed. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2-4 years of experience building production-grade web applications using React or Next.js. You must demonstrate a proven ability to translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, accessible, and responsive UI. A strong understanding of performance optimization, experience in consuming REST APIs, and integrating with login/session flows are essential skills required for this position. Additionally, the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced product team with backend engineers and designers is crucial. This is an on-site position based in Lucknow, India, with a notice period of 1 month or less. Nice-to-have skills include experience working on SaaS applications or internal dashboards, exposure to search interfaces or platforms dealing with large document datasets, and familiarity with React Native.
