As a Staff Software Engineer - Front End at Avensys, headquartered in Singapore, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality web products. Your responsibilities will include: - Driving collaboration with Product, Product Design, and Engineering teams to deliver top-notch products on the web. - Leading by example in writing quality code that meets requirements and adheres to architectural and front-end coding standards. - Contributing to building a culture focused on optimizing applications for performance. - Proposing upgrades and updates to maintain modern security and development practices. - Contributing to shared component libraries by building modular and reusable components. - Building efficient, reusable web components and designing reliable, performant, and scalable solutions. - Identifying areas for improvement and driving web best practices. - Providing mentorship to junior team members and sharing knowledge with the broader team. Qualifications required for this role include: - At least 8 years of experience in front-end development, with expertise in client-side frameworks (React preferred). - Strong skills in JavaScript and the TypeScript ecosystem. - Experience with Bigdata and Java or C# is a plus. - Strong architecture skills and the ability to drive decision-making in the team. - Experience working with component libraries and a passion for client-side performance optimization. - Ability to drive changes and impact across various teams through code reviews and architecture discussions. It would be great if you have: - Led teams and projects to solve complex problems. - Experience working on large-scale applications or internet companies. - Experience analyzing and working with big data. - Proficiency in modern JavaScript/TypeScript libraries and tooling (e.g., VueJS, AngularJS). - Strong knowledge of modern coding and design practices such as Clean Code, SOLID principals, and TDD.
