Key missions of the position:

- To execute the testing programs of friction products on brake blocks/ pads.

- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.

- Knowledge of basic hand tools, fabrication, documentation and reporting skills

- Support R&D engineering with custom test configurations & 5S practices

- Electrical proficiency, including basic wiring, soldering, connecting sensors and power supply.

- Knowledge of rotating machinery and electrical risks (LOTO, HV Training)

Main responsibilities:

Perform the Friction pair Brake performance through Brake inertia dynamometer testing, analyse

structural and friction characteristics friction pads/blocks and disc.

Work out the validation plans, test setups and instrumentation as required by test standards and

customer specifications.

Execute the dyno test program, do the required modification and customizing brake test rig.

Customer complaint and failure analysis

Interface and communicate with both internal and external customers on technical problems and their

solutions.

Prepare the drawings.

Analysing Test Data

Compiling Test Reports

Facility maintenance and calibration

Required Candidate Profile

Education/Training

• Engineering degree BE / BTech Mechanical/Electrical
• GCSE Maths/English
• Experience using computers
• Expertise in friction related products like brake pad/block

Professional Experience

• Experience of 2 to 6 years in brake pad/block testing,
• Working experience and knowledge on friction products
• Have performed validating new/VAVE designs by testing of friction products as per international, customer specifications.
