Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer for assisting in Machine design as well as development and procurement of the designed components.

~ Freshers are welcome to apply ~

Criteria

Tamil speaking candidates only.
BE in Mechanical Engineering
6-month
temporary position with the potential for extension or permanent placement.

Skillset

Expertise in 2D drafting using
AutoCAD
.
Proficient in
MS Excel.
Fluent in Tamil communication.
Prior work experience in
procurement
/ inventory management (optional)
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as turning, milling, CNC, and laser cutting
Solidworks 3D modelling expertise is an added advantage

Design

Create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models
Create machining drawings with accurate dimensions,
tolerances
, and annotations.
Material selection
for bearings, motors, cylinders discussing with Design engineer.
Develop DFM and DFA-compliant drawings to ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly.
Sheet metal drawing layout and
nesting
for laser cutting works.
Reverse engineer drawings by taking accurate measurements.

Development and Procurment

Prepare Bill of Materials (
BOM
) and define machining process flow.
Send the machining drawings to machine shops and
subcontractors
.
Follow up
vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of components.
Develop and implement
assembly checklists
for fitters/fabricators
Work closely with the assembly team to ensure successful project completion

Interview Process

The selection process includes a phone interview, followed by an in-person tests to evaluate the candidate's desgin skill and procurment expertise.
