Job description

We are looking for a qualified and experienced freight broker to manage our team and provide effective guidance. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members on a daily basis.

As a freight forwarder, you will be the contact point for all team members, so your communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration.

Ultimately, you should lead by setting a good example and engage the team to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

1.Leading and Managing Teams: You are responsible for overseeing a group of employees, providing guidance, setting goals, and ensuring they work effectively together.

2.Setting Objectives: Clearly define team and individual goals, ensuring they align with the organization's objectives.

3.Assigning Tasks: Distribute tasks among team members based on their skills and workload, ensuring a fair distribution of responsibilities.

4.Monitoring Progress: Keep track of the team's progress toward goals, providing feedback and assistance when necessary.

5.Training and Development: Identify areas where team members need training or development and facilitate their growth.

6.Problem Solving: Address conflicts and challenges within the team, finding solutions that maintain a positive working environment.

7.Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

8.Communication: Foster open and effective communication within the team and act as a liaison between the team and upper management.

9.Resource Management: Ensure that the team has the necessary resources, such as tools, materials, and support, to accomplish their tasks.

10.Decision-Making: Make informed decisions for the team and handle any issues that arise during projects.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics
  • Good PC skills, especially MS Excel
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • Decision-making skills
  • Degree in Management or training in team leading is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
