Freelance Communications Consultant

Flexing It is a freelance consulting marketplace that connects freelancers and independent consultants with organizations seeking independent talent. We have partnered with our client, an American multinational manufacturer of confectionery, pet food, and other food products, who is currently in need of a dynamic and creative Communications & Design Specialist. This individual should be skilled in design and content creation, capable of producing compelling visuals for communications, newsletters, email campaigns, and social media. In addition, the role will involve supporting change management initiatives and assisting with communication events to drive engagement and ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation & Design: - Design visually appealing internal communication materials, including newsletters, emailers, posters, graphics, presentations, and short associate videos. - Create and curate engaging content for internal social media platforms such as Viva Engage and Yammer. - Develop engaging graphics and visual assets that align with the brand's messaging and tone. Campaigns & Events Support: - Assist in executing communication campaigns related to change management and internal culture initiatives. - Provide creative and logistic support for communication events such as town halls, workshops, and engagement programs. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: - Collaborate with the communications team across segments and key stakeholders to create content that supports organizational goals and campaigns. Change Management Communication: - Design materials that help associates understand, engage, and adapt to changes within the business. Qualifications: The ideal candidate should have 2-5 years of experience in internal communications, graphic design, or a related role. Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar, as well as MS Office (Word, PowerPoint), is required. Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to create concise, engaging content are essential. Experience in managing multiple projects with competing deadlines is a plus. Familiarity with internal communication platforms like Yammer, Workplace, or Slack is also beneficial. Key Skills: The successful candidate should possess content design and visual communication skills, along with organizational and project management abilities with attention to detail. Creative problem-solving and the ability to think strategically are also important attributes for this role.,
