FPGA Technical Lead DO-254 Projects

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum

  10 years of post-qualification experience

  in FPGA design and verification.
• Must have

  led at least 3 complete DO-254 FPGA lifecycle projects

  .
• Proven experience in leading teams of

  5 or more engineers.

• Strong experience in writing technical proposals and handling customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA development projects in compliance with DO-254 standards (DAL A/B/C).
• Define FPGA design and verification strategy, manage full lifecycle activities from requirements capture to certification.
• Guide, mentor, and supervise FPGA engineers in design, verification, and documentation activities.
• Interact with customers for requirements clarification, reviews, and technical discussions.
• Support preparation of technical proposals and contribute to solution architecture.
• Ensure adherence to design assurance processes, best practices, and project milestones.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and system engineering.

Technical Skills

• HDLs:

  Proficient in VHDL, Verilog; expertise in debugging complex FPGA designs.

• Programming:

  Strong in C, VHDL, Verilog; working knowledge of Python.

• Modeling/Simulation:

  MATLAB, ModelSim 6.5, QuestaSim 10.3.

• Tools:

  Xilinx ISE, Vivado, SDK, other FPGA EDA tools.

• Communication Protocols:

  SPI, I2C, UART, ARINC 429, QSPI, AXI, AHB,

  Ethernet, PCIe

  .

• Hardware Interfaces:

  ADC, DAC, digital filters.

• Experience

  with design reviews, traceability, coverage analysis, and certification artefacts per DO-254.
