Founding Director of Engineering

As a Senior Engineering Lead for a high-scale AI Prediction Platform, your role will involve leading the development and architecture of a data-intensive product. You will be responsible for team growth, platform scalability, and ensuring top-notch code quality and system integration. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading the end-to-end development of the AI Prediction Platform, focusing on architecture, code quality, performance, and system integration. - Managing a 10-15 member engineering team (with plans to scale to ~20), setting the direction, developing leaders, and fostering a high-performance culture of shared ownership and transparency. - Translating business priorities into technical execution across product, design, and data functions in North America and India. - Serving as the technical representative of the engineering team internally and externally, managing escalations, technical positioning, and building stakeholder trust. Qualifications required for this role are: - 10+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams or teams-of-teams. - Demonstrated success in building complex B2B or enterprise SaaS products at scale. - Recent hands-on experience with Python, SQL, React, etc., focusing on architectural and production ownership. - Experience in managing and growing distributed engineering teams. - Deep understanding of system design, DevOps culture, and AI/ML-enabled platforms. - Strong cross-functional leadership skills with clear communication and execution alignment.
