You are an experienced Engineering Manager who excels in building performant, scalable applications and is keen on leveraging AI as a development multiplier. Your primary responsibility will involve constructing and overseeing web applications from inception to completion. Additionally, you are expected to utilize AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT, or equivalent for expedited code generation, debugging, testing, and documentation processes. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of backend and frontend engineers, fostering technical excellence and innovation. - Supervise the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable backend services using Node.js and Python. - Ensure seamless integration between frontend (React.js) and backend systems, prioritizing performance and security. - Design and maintain robust database systems utilizing MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and other relevant technologies. - Implement and oversee cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services like Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, and API Gateway. - Develop and enforce best practices for coding, security, testing, and deployment across all projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact solutions. - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain code quality and scalability. - Monitor system performance, address technical issues proactively, and uphold high availability and reliability standards. - Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance the engineering capabilities continually. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 6+ years of software development experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership/management role. - Proficiency in Node.js, Python, and React.js. - Strong background in MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and data modeling. - Sound knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, and serverless computing on AWS. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes. - Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. - Strong communication and leadership abilities. - Proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
