Business Related:

1. Responsible for overall Formulation Operations and development of new products (i.e., from lab scale up to production scale) which helps business to scale.

2. Responsible for developing alternate raw materials & alternative formulation to achieve the target cost as per the business plan

3. Ensure that the organization has the required formulation Staff & talent (depth and breadth) with the right level of competence as required & driven by business needs.

4. Planning, organizing, directing, and running optimum day-to-day formulation operation and NPD activities.

5. Ensuring BOM adherence, product quality (sensory), as per the Company Requirements and documented procedure & Specifications

6. Allocating formulation resources effectively

7. Creating and managing formulation budgets

8. Creating reports to present to Subordinates / operators regarding formulation processes

Function Related

9. Setting & achieving key indicator goals for the formulation Dept.

10. Preparation and control of annual formulation budgets.

11. Adherence to FSSAI requirements, statutory requirements, legal metrology and other needed for legal & smooth operations of the unit.

12. Responsible for BOM preparation for new products and maintaining the formulation as per BOM at any given point of time.

13. Responsible for Reduction of raw materials weighing & handling loss at formulation

14. Ensuring on time supply of raw materials for cream and batter preparation for uninterrupted production

15. Overall Responsibility for development of Master standards for raw materials, Finished Product and process.

16. Overall responsibility for building a sensory evaluation team and maintaining the Product Quality (Sensory) as per Standard.

17. Responsible for approving the alternate source of raw materials without affecting the product quality

18. Committing to food safety procedures in formulation operations.

19. Keeping up to date with latest best practices across the industries.

20. Implementing strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives

21. Responsible for timely execution of new product launches.

22. Overseeing work schedules to ensure coverage of all formulation Operations

23. Providing a clear sense of direction and focus to formulation team members

24. Committing to plant safety procedures in formulation Operations.

25. Building a trusting relationship with team members & workmen.

26. Addressing formulation issues or grievances.

27. Managing and developing formulation department & team.

28. Refer HR Team in Identifying and partnering with external service providers and Learning & Development delivery platforms as required by Company.
