Design and implement value addition strategies for fruits, vegetables, grains, and other farm produce (e.g., dehydration, pickling, flour processing, snacks).Develop low-cost, scalable processing techniques suitable for smallholder farmers or FPOs.Assist in setting up processing units, quality control protocols, and food safety standards (FSSAI compliance).Conduct training programs and capacity building for farmers, women SHGs, and local entrepreneurs on value addition, shelf-life extension, and hygiene practices.Support in branding, packaging design, and market linkage of value-added products.Maintain detailed documentation of R&D activities, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and outcomes.
