Job Title: Food and Beverage Associate - Bar Captain Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager/Supervisor Department: Food and Beverage Location: Gokulam Park at Coimbatore Job Summary: A Bar Captain is responsible for overseeing all bar operations, ensuring smooth functioning, excellent customer service, and managing bar staff and resources. They ensure guests have a pleasant experience, handle customer issues, maintain the bar's cleanliness, and manage inventory. Operations Management: Planning, organizing, and controlling bar operations. Staff Supervision: Overseeing bar staff, including bartenders, and providing training. Customer Service: Greeting guests, ensuring satisfaction, and resolving complaints. Inventory Management: Managing alcohol and other bar supplies, restocking, and anticipating needs. Hygiene and Safety: Maintaining a clean and sanitary bar environment, adhering to safety regulations, and reporting any issues. Financial Management: Handling cash, balancing drawers, preparing end-of-day reports, and ensuring proper payment processing. Service Standards: Ensuring all drinks are prepared and served according to standard recipes, and that guests are serviced promptly. Product Knowledge: Having a good knowledge of the bar's beverages, including wines, beers, and other alcoholic drinks, to provide recommendations. Staff Development: Identifying training needs, coaching, and mentoring bar staff. Safety and Security: Ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for customers and staff, including verifying customer age. In essence, the Bar Captain acts as a leader within the bar environment, ensuring smooth operations, high-quality service, and a positive guest experience.
