Floor Manager - Furniture Manufacturing

As a Floor Manager for our client, a reputed manufacturer of luxury bespoke furniture, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Production Supervision: - Oversee daily floor operations to ensure production targets are met as per plan. - Maintain workflow efficiency and minimize downtime. - Quality Control: - Ensure all furniture pieces meet quality standards and specifications. - Conduct regular inspections and coordinate with QA for corrective actions. - Manpower Management: - Allocate work, monitor attendance, and ensure discipline among floor staff. - Conduct on-the-job training to enhance worker skills and productivity. - Material & Inventory Coordination: - Ensure timely availability of raw materials, hardware, and components. - Minimize material wastage and maintain proper floor stock records. - Process Improvement: - Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements in workflow and layout. - Implement lean manufacturing and 5S principles on the shop floor. - Safety & Compliance: - Enforce adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage. - Report and prevent potential hazards or incidents. - Coordination & Reporting: - Liaise with Design, Planning, and Purchase teams for smooth operations. - Submit daily production and attendance reports to Factory/Production Head. - Machine Maintenance Oversight: - Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance for preventive servicing.
