Job Description

The Flight Line Electrical Technician will perform technical interventions to ensure the H125 Aircraft s electrical systems are in full compliance. This role focuses on electrical systems including avionics, wiring, power generation, and troubleshooting. The technician is responsible for preparing the aircraft for both ground and flight activities, ensuring that all electrical components are functioning correctly before and after flight tests.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the Aircraft:
    • Ensure the aircrafts electrical systems are fully operational and ready for ground and flight activities.
    • Install or remove electrical sub-assemblies of the aircraft systems on the runway.
    • Set electrical sub-assemblies, wiring, and related components in place on the runway.
  • System Maintenance & Compliance:
    • Perform preventive maintenance and re-compliance of the aircrafts electrical systems following ground or flight tests.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair anomalies in the electrical, avionics, and power distribution systems on the runway.
    • Correct or repair simple electrical defects in aircraft systems, ensuring all systems meet operational requirements.
  • Support during Flight Operations:
    • Provide technical assistance during fixed points related to electrical systems as required.
    • Assist with the aircraft s reception after flight, ensuring all electrical systems are properly assessed.
    • Aid in engine operations, including electrical connections during engine start, shutdown, and engine runs.
  • Documentation & Input Handling:
    • Review and interpret electrical plans, schematics, and technical documents such as the logbook, Airnav, workshop files, and operating instructions.
    • Ensure proper record-keeping of maintenance activities, especially electrical system interventions and compliance checks.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Electrical Expertise : Exceptional knowledge of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, avionics, and electrical power generation systems in helicopters.
  • System Troubleshooting : Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical system issues efficiently, including power distribution, avionics, and wiring defects.
  • Technical Reading Skills : Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical plans, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance : Familiarity with aircraft maintenance practices and technical documents related to electrical systems, such as logbooks, Airnav, and operating instructions.
  • Flight Line Experience : Experience working on the flight line, understanding aircraft assembly, and operations in an aerospace environment.
  • Work Under Pressure : Ability to work under pressure to resolve urgent electrical system issues during flight tests or ground operations.
Desired Experience:
  • Previous experience working with H125 or similar helicopter models is preferred.
  • Extensive familiarity with aircraft electrical configurations, wiring, avionics, and integration procedures.
  • Prior experience in a similar flight line electrical maintenance role is a plus.
