Core duties and responsibilities

  • Client assessment:

    Evaluate a client's current fitness level, health history, and goals to create a tailored plan.
  • Program design:

    Develop safe and effective exercise routines that may focus on strength, cardiovascular health, flexibility, and more.
  • Instruction and guidance:

    Lead and instruct clients during one-on-one or group sessions, demonstrating proper form and the use of equipment to prevent injury.
  • Motivation and support:

    Encourage clients to stick to their fitness programs and provide ongoing support.
  • Progress monitoring:

    Track clients' progress by measuring metrics like heart rate, body fat, and strength gains, and adjust plans as needed.
  • Nutritional advice:

    Provide guidance on healthy eating habits to complement their exercise routine.
  • Safety and emergency response:

    Ensure a safe workout environment and be prepared to administer first aid or CPR if necessary.
