Role Overview: As a Lead II - Semiconductor Product Validation at UST, you will be responsible for developing system test plans, test cases, and automation for individual modules/products used in Data Center or Cloud environments. Your role will involve collaborating with silicon, platform hardware, and firmware teams to ensure the quality and adherence to specifications of the products. By creating automation for test content and executing tests, you will contribute to meeting project schedules and timelines. Key Responsibilities: - Develop system test plans, test cases, and automation for compute, accelerators, and GPUs - Interface with silicon, platform hardware, and firmware teams for test content development - Create automation scripts using Python and Robot framework - Design and execute stress, performance, and reliability testing - Develop automated testing pipelines and CI/CD systems - Debug and triage system-level issues, including customer-reported failures - Implement hardware exposure and understanding, including hardware bus interfaces and system design - Manage project status reporting and communication effectively Qualifications Required: - Solid experience in systems engineering, embedded systems qualification, and validation - Proficiency in automation frameworks like Robot Framework - Familiarity with hardware bus interfaces, system design, and reading schematics - Knowledge of Network/System Management concepts such as IPMI, BMC, SNMP, BIOS, and Device Drivers - Experience with Python for automation scripting - Skills in creating system test cases, test plans, test reports, and debug/triage failures - Ability to work with Baseboard Management Control (BMC) / Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) - Understanding of firmware components like UEFI, BIOS, Boot Loader, U Boot, and Power Boot - Knowledge of system bus interfaces such as PCIe, I2C, I3C, SPI, SCSI, NVMe, and USB (Optional) Please note that UST may periodically redefine your roles and responsibilities based on organizational requirements or performance evaluations.
