Firmware Developer

You will be part of a team at Marvell, a leading provider of innovative technologies, where you will design, implement, and maintain cryptographic primitives and protocols such as AES, SHA, ECC, RSA, lattice-based PQC, TLS, and IPsec in C, C++, and assembly. Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining system-level software like Linux kernel modules, device drivers, and libraries for cryptographic acceleration and secure communications. Additionally, you will optimize cryptographic code for performance, side-channel resistance, and hardware integration. Your role will involve low-level debugging, profiling, and security validation across firmware and software layers. Collaboration with hardware, networking, and security teams to integrate cryptographic capabilities into secure communication stacks will be essential. You will also stay updated with the latest advancements in cryptographic research, post-quantum cryptography, and secure system design. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience. Strong programming expertise in C, C++, and assembly, experience with driver development, understanding of cryptographic algorithms and secure protocol design, familiarity with cryptographic libraries, debugging and profiling tools, and build systems are necessary. Knowledge of computer architecture, memory management, and hardware/software interfaces, protocol-level cryptography, exposure to hardware accelerators, contributions to open-source projects, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work seamlessly across firmware, system software, and protocol development are important. Being a collaborative team player with cross-functional communication skills, detail-oriented with excellent documentation and code quality practices are essential qualities for this role.
