Your role and responsibilities
Development and support of critical internal tools used for detailed analysis of IBM Z hardware performance. Study and understand existing tools source code and build process. Enhance these tools to resolve issues as needed and provide updates needed for each new IBM Z hardware model. Design solutions to modernize and enhance useability of these tools over time. Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise Experience - 3-6 years as a Software Developer back end and front end Full stackBachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or computer engineering. Proficiency in Java , object-oriented programming principles, Eclipse RCP(Rich Client Platform) and Eclipse Plugin developmentExperience with building, debugging, and maintaining Java applicationsFamiliarity with software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), unit testing, and CI/CD pipelinesWorking knowledge of JavaScript, React, Node.js is a plus. Experience with the application of agile concepts and good presentation skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively Preferred technical and professional experience Master degree in information technology, computer science, computer engineeringBasic understanding of microprocessor concepts such as instruction sets, counters, and system-level behavior is a strong plusKnowledge of multithreading and performance optimizationExperience with any frameworks (e.g., Spring) is an advantage but not mandatory. Ability to learn and understand detailed internal IBM Z Performance metrics.
