Job Summary:

Deputy Fire Officer (DFO)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure complete

  compliance with fire safety regulations

  for corporate premises.
• Liaison with

  government fire departments

  , municipal corporations, and other statutory bodies for

  obtaining NOCs, approvals, and renewals

  .
• Conduct regular

  fire audits

  , risk assessments, and submit compliance reports.
• Oversee the

  installation, inspection, and maintenance

  of fire-fighting systems, alarms, and safety equipment.
• Conduct

  fire drills and training programs

  for staff to maintain preparedness.
• Develop, implement, and review

  fire safety policies and emergency response procedures

  .
• Maintain updated documentation and records related to

  fire safety inspections, licenses, and correspondence with authorities

  .
• Coordinate with

  project and facility teams

  during new constructions, renovations, or expansions to ensure fire norms are met from the start.
• Serve as the primary point of contact during

  emergency situations

  involving fire or safety hazards.

Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Fire & Safety or relevant certification from a recognized institute.
• Minimum

  710 years of experience

  in fire safety management; preferably with prior experience in a

  government fire department or similar regulatory body

  .
• Sound knowledge of

  National Building Code (NBC), Fire Safety norms, and applicable laws

  .
• Strong

  network with government and civic fire officials

  is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in

  English and local language

  .

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• Ex-government fire officer or DFO with strong liaisoning capabilities.
• Strong understanding of fire safety documentation and inspection procedures.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple external stakeholders.
