Fire & Electric Safety Expert

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct fire safety audits in compliance with

  National Building Code (NBC) 2016

  and relevant statutory requirements.
• Assess fire safety installations including fire extinguishers, fire alarms, hydrant systems, emergency exits, evacuation routes, and fire drills.
  
• Examine electrical systems including wiring condition, load distribution, panel boards, and overall electrical safety.
  
• Identify fire hazards, safety gaps, and non-compliances, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
  
• Prepare and submit fire safety audit reports within defined timelines.
  
• Ensure complete documentation with photographic and videographic evidence as per audit protocols.
  
• Maintain strict adherence to government standards, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
  
• Ensure the highest level of integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in data handling and reporting.
  
• Coordinate effectively with project teams, facility staff, and government stakeholders.
  
• Travel extensively to assigned locations to conduct on-site audits.
  
• Maintain a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and timely completion of audits.
  

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of fire safety systems, fire prevention measures, and NBC 2016 provisions.
  
• Understanding of electrical safety, fire risk assessment, and emergency preparedness.
  
• Excellent observation, reporting, and documentation skills.
  
• Strong coordination and communication abilities.
  
• High ethical standards and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit locations.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree/Diploma in Fire Engineering, Fire & Safety, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  
• Certification in Fire Safety / Fire Audit will be an added advantage.
  
• Prior experience in fire safety audits, inspections, or government/compliance projects preferred.
  
• Familiarity with statutory fire safety regulations and audit reporting formats.
