Civil and Structural Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct structural safety inspections of buildings as per approved checklists and government norms.
• Identify structural cracks, potential risks, and gaps related to seismic safety and overall stability.
• Assess critical components including staircases, flooring, roofing, boundary walls, and related structural elements.
• Verify compliance with prescribed structural safety guidelines and standards.
• Prepare and submit the structural safety assessment section of audit reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation supported by photographic and videographic evidence.
• Maintain strict adherence to government protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Handle inspection data with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Coordinate effectively with project teams, government officials, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned inspections while maintaining quality standards.
  

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of building structures and safety assessment procedures.
• Knowledge of seismic safety norms and structural risk identification.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
• High attention to detail and strong ethical standards in data handling.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively to inspection locations.
• Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, and quality of work.
