FinOps Lead

Role Overview: As the FinOps Lead, your primary responsibility is to drive the accelerated deployment of FinOps practices, tools, and processes within the organization. You will play a critical role in establishing a sustainable, outcome-focused FinOps framework that enhances financial accountability, cost transparency, and optimization of cloud investments. Your expertise in project management, technical understanding of cloud financial management, and ability to engage cross-functional teams will be key in delivering measurable financial outcomes within a condensed project timeline. Key Responsibilities: - Project Leadership and Strategy Execution - Own and lead the end-to-end accelerated FinOps Enablement Project - Define and execute a detailed project plan with goals, milestones, timelines, and success metrics - Act as the central point of contact for the project, aligning teams and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement - Tool Selection and Deployment - Manage the tool selection process by solidifying requirements and leading the decision-making process - Oversee the implementation and configuration of the chosen FinOps tool - Develop initial dashboards, reports, and configurations to support real-time insights and cost optimization - Process Design and FinOps Practice Development - Design and standardize core FinOps processes supporting budget forecasting and cost allocation - Establish foundational FinOps practices and drive training for cross-functional teams - Drive the training and enablement of cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with new processes - Pilot Execution and Outcome Measurement - Lead a focused pilot program to test and validate FinOps tools and processes - Track and report initial outcomes, including cost savings and optimization recommendations - Collect feedback and make iterative adjustments to enhance effectiveness - Stakeholder Management and Executive Reporting - Engage with key stakeholders to drive buy-in and communicate project progress - Prepare and present executive-level reports on pilot outcomes and financial insights - Establish a shared accountability framework across zone teams Qualifications Required: - Project Management Expertise - Proven track record in leading complex, cross-functional projects - Strong organizational and time management skills - FinOps Certified and Cloud Financial Acumen - Expertise in FinOps principles, cloud cost management, and financial governance - Experience with cloud service providers and cloud billing - Technical and Analytical Skills - Experience with FinOps or cloud cost management tools - Robust analytical skills for financial and operational data analysis - Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Experience in training stakeholders on financial practices - Outcome-Focused and Adaptable - Ability to deliver measurable financial outcomes within tight deadlines - Agile and adaptable to changing business needs,
