Role Overview: As a FinOps Lead, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and managing cloud spend, driving the financial strategy for cloud infrastructure, and ensuring cost efficiency. Your responsibilities will involve analyzing cloud costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, providing detailed financial analysis, implementing FinOps best practices, and collaborating with various teams to align cloud financial strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze, manage, and optimize cloud costs using tools like AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Billing Reports, CloudWatch, and Trusted Advisor. - Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement recommendations for efficient resource utilization. - Provide detailed financial analysis and reports on cloud usage and spend, creating actionable insights based on AWS cost and usage data. - Lead the development and implementation of FinOps processes to enable continuous cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. - Partner with engineering, operations, and finance teams to align cloud financial strategies and ensure cost transparency. - Work with AWS cost tools and monitor cloud spend at scale to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Qualifications Required: - Expertise in Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps), especially within the AWS ecosystem. - Strong working knowledge of AWS cost management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Billing Reports, Trusted Advisor, CloudWatch, AWS Organizations, and cloud alarms. - Experience in Cost Optimization techniques, including analyzing cost reports, optimizing cloud resources, and driving savings initiatives. - Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure management and usage. - Ability to drive cost transparency, forecasting, and budgeting efforts across cloud teams. - Proven ability to provide recommendations for cost control, manage budgets, and improve financial operations for cloud environments. - FinOps Certification or equivalent certification is highly desirable (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, or any recognized FinOps certifications).
