Job Summary

The Finishing Supervisor oversees the final production stage, ensuring products meet quality, schedule, and safety standards. You will lead finishing teams, manage equipment, and implement continuous improvements across finishing processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Production & Workflow Management

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate finishing tasks—deburring, polishing, coating, painting, tumbling, laser marking, etc.—to meet daily production targets while minimizing downtime.
• Monitor operations, detect bottlenecks, and redistribute resources as needed.

• Team Leadership & Training

• Lead and mentor finishing staff, develop skill sets, manage schedules & attendance, and conduct performance reviews.
• Provide regular coaching, technical guidance, and enforce workplace discipline.

• Quality Assurance

• Establish QC procedures, perform inspections, conduct first-piece or in-process checks, document defects, and initiate corrective actions.
• Ensure finished goods comply with specifications and standards.

• Equipment & Maintenance

• Oversee operation and maintenance of finishing tools/equipment (e.g. spray guns, tumblers, grinders), schedule preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot breakdowns.

• Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols (OSHA, cGMP, ISO, etc.), lead safety training, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with regulations.

• Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities for efficiency gains, cost reduction, and waste minimization; lead Kaizen or similar initiatives.

• Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain records of production output, QC metrics, downtime, maintenance logs, inventory usage, and employee performance. Prepare regular reports for management.
